The Social Worker

I received the highly anticipated phone call from our social worker this morning. She sounds very nice, very enthusiastic - and very young. We have our interviews on August 3 and August 7. We have everything done on our checklist except putting all those little covers on the outlets, moving all the cleaners to a shelf above five feet, moving the knives to a cabinet above five feet, buying a new fire extinguisher, and getting a solid screen for the fireplace. And, of course, we have to put all the medicines and vitamins in the locked suitcase. That's already in place. We just have to put the medicine inside. We should be playing the waiting game by September....
